Final Four-bound Kansas, UCLA and Michigan State headline the 2019 Maui Invitational field announced Tuesday.
Also in the field are BYU, Dayton, Georgia, Virginia Tech and host Chaminade. The Silverswords will not play in the 2018 tournament after it was announced last year that they will participate every other year instead of annually.
Hawaii Hilo sweeps Holy Names
The Hawaii Hilo softball team took a pair of victories from Holy Names in a PacWest doubleheader in Hayward, Calif., on Tuesday.
Pearl City alum Darian Obara led the way offensively in the first game, an 11-8 victory for the Vulcans (20-10, 8-4 PacWest). The freshman had a team-high three RBIs to go along with two hits, including a triple.
The second game featured a strong performance from UHH starter Isabelle Mejia, who tossed six scoreless innings against the Hawks (1-21, 1-9) in a 3-1 win. The junior scattered five hits and struck out one while walking three. Leah Gonzales pitched the seventh inning to earn her third save of the year.

Noelani Boyer had two hits in the first game for the Sharks (12-12, 5-8). Alexis Morales picked up the win with four no-hit innings, striking out two and walking two.
Sienna Santiago’s offensive effort lifted the Sharks in game two. The Kauai native went 2-for-3 with a game-high five RBIs and a home run. Alyssa Ramirez had a game-high three hits for the Penguins (12-23, 3-12).
