More than half the sites have rescheduled dates for the seventh annual Hawaii Junior Golf Day, which was washed out at several places last Saturday.
This Saturday, Ala Wai, Hawaii Prince, Hawaii Kai and Turtle Bay will hold Junior Golf Day programs on Oahu.
Princeville Makai on Kauai will also try again Saturday, along with Hualalai on the Big Island.
All who registered can report to the course. Same-day registration is also available beginning at 8:30 a.m. That is followed by a free clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Parents will receive a “Roadmap to Junior Golf” in Hawaii.
On Maui, Kaanapali has rescheduled for May 26, with 11:30 a.m. registration. Wailea Emerald/Gold will announce a date later.
The free day is sponsored by the Aloha Section PGA and Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, for beginning golfers ages 5-18.

Jennie K. offering more scholarships
For the second year in a row, the Jennie K. Wilson Invitational is offering merit scholarships to junior and senior high school girls “dedicated and passionate for golf.”
Last year, 15 girls received $500 scholarships.
Applicants do not have to be Jennie K. entrants. Applications are available at the Mid-Pacific Country Club website — mpcchi.org — or in the pro shop.
Monday is the tentative deadline to apply.
Registration is open for the 68th annual Jennie K., May 18-20 at MPCC. The tournament is the last remaining women’s major in Hawaii.
Amateur women golfers ages 16 and over with a handicap index of 22.0 or less effective May 1 are eligible. Those under 16 years, with an index of 4.0 or less, can apply to compete in the championship flight.
Entry forms are on the website and in the pro shop. For more information, contact Kathy Ordway (262-2428 or kathyordway@me.com). Players can apply and pay online.
Kaiser’s Nam finishes in top 30
Hawaii qualifier Malia Nam tied for 30th Sunday in the ANA Junior Inspiration at Rancho Mirage, Calif. The Kaiser senior — headed to USC on a golf scholarship — was one of 48 juniors invited to compete for the final amateur exemption in the first LPGA major of the year.
Nam shot 75-73-80 at Mission Hills Country Club. Rose Zhang, a 14-year old from Irvine, Calif., earned the exemption.
She closed with a 69 to win by one, at 7-under-par 209. The 2017 Junior PGA champion is No. 8 in the Rolex AJGA rankings.
Nam was the Honolulu Gateway City qualifier and, in her honor, ANA gave a $5,000 grant to the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association.
