K-pop made history last Sunday when Seo-hyun of Girl’s Generation, the popular girl band Red Velvet, Baek Ji-young and veteran singers Lee Sun-hee and Cho Yong-pil performed a concert in Pyongyang, North Korea.
Among the select crowd of 1,500 were North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, his wife, Ri Sol-ju, and sister, Kim Yo-jong, who attended the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Another concert on Tuesday featured entertainers from both countries, with more concerts and cultural exchange programs to come.
