At about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Trevor Davis, 24, who now plays wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, was with a female companion when he went to pick up boarding passes at a Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter.
When the agent asked whether they had any prohibited items such as aerosols, fireworks or explosives, Davis allegedly jokingly said “yes” and turned to his companion and asked, “Did you pack the explosives?” according to Rob Pedregon, Los Angeles Airport Police spokesman.
The agent called police, and Davis was arrested on suspicion of making a false bomb threat — a misdemeanor. Police released him after finding no explosives. He is due to appear in court May 3.
