Honolulu police arrested a 39-year-old man Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old visitor from Korea in Waikiki.
Witnesses said the victim was walking with his bride along Kalakaua Avenue when he was attacked. The incident occurred at 4:44 p.m., police said. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
The victim was transported to Straub Medical Center, where he was treated and released. The couple was referred to the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii, which assists visitors who are in distress.
