Three-time defending state champion Campbell locked up its 13th consecutive trip to the state softball tournament with an 11-1 win in six innings over visiting Mililani on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the OIA Division I playoffs.
Chloe Sales allowed four hits in a complete-game victory and Caisha Nunes homered for the Sabers (10-3), who haven’t won an OIA title since 2013.
Mililani junior Katie Carlos doubled, tripled and drew a walk to lead Mililani (6-8), which had won three of the last four OIA championships.
The Trojans need a win at Kaiser today in the consolation semifinals to avoid missing the state tournament for the first time since 1992.
The Trojans’ 25 consecutive state appearances is the longest active streak in the state. Campbell’s streak of 13 is next. The Sabers will play Kapolei in tonight’s second semifinal at McKinley at 7.

Ciena Kauhi and Tatum Guzman each scored three runs and Chasity McKean finished 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to help the Hurricanes (10-4) rout the Cougars (9-4).
Cira Bartolotti took a shutout into the seventh inning and struck out seven for Kapolei, which clinched a state tournament berth for the fourth straight year and ninth time in the last 10 seasons.
The Hurricanes are 1-1 this season against Campbell heading into tonight’s semifinal. Campbell won the first meeting 3-2 and Kapolei blew out the Sabers 11-3 on March 29.
Roosevelt 4, Pearl City 2
Jayda Cabunoc struck out two in six innings to earn the win and the Rough Riders (12-1) are the only East team to beat a West opponent in six tries after two days of the OIA softball playoffs in Division I.
Roosevelt, which faces Leilehua in tonight’s first semifinal at McKinley at 5, will make back-to-back trips to the state tournament for the first time since 2009-10.
Pearl City needs a win over Waianae in a consolation game today to advance to states for the fifth consecutive season.

Kamryn Kamakaiwi tossed six shutout innings with three strikeouts and Alyssa Asuncion and Gianna Araki both homered for the Mules (10-3), who clinched their sixth consecutive trip to the state tournament.
Asuncion scored twice and drove in two runs and Mikayla Pinera went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Leilehua.
Lei-Shell Kapihe doubled for one of the Seariders’ three hits.
