After selling out an unprecedented 11 shows at the Blaisdell Concert Hall last year, comedian Jo Koy has announced his return to
Honolulu, taping his next comedy special at the Blaisdell Arena on Nov. 24.
Tickets for the Break the Mold World Tour, $45 and $55, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday via ticketmaster.com. Using the password “SPECIAL,” fans can get tickets through a presale beginning today.
The performances, which often refer to his youth in Seattle, growing up with a Filipina mother and a Caucasian father who had been in the Air Force, are recommended for those age 12 and older.
In November Koy sold more than 23,000 tickets for
a record-setting 11 sold-out shows at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Celebrating this accomplishment, Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s office proclaimed Nov. 24 “Jo Koy Day.”
