A 57-year-old man has died after he went into distress while swimming in waters off of Kewalo Basin over the weekend.
Identification is pending.
Paramedics treated and transported the 57-year-old man in critical condition to Kuakini Medical Center on Sunday where he died. EMS also treated another swimmer, a 29-year-old man at the scene. He refused transport to a hospital.
Police said there were no signs of foul play.
Correction: An earlier version incorrectly said the 57-year-old man was diving in waters off of Kewalo Basin.
