The main lanterns were escorted by priests Monday at the 20th annual Lantern Floating Hawaii ceremony at Ala Moana Regional Park. Over 30,000 people participated in the event, which aims to connect people with deceased loved ones regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or nationality.
