Two people were charged after they allegedly barricaded themselves in a home for nearly eight hours at the Helemano Military Reservation in Wahiawa.
Prosecutors on Saturday charged Chaz Melchor, also known as Chaz Kaai, with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, first-degree criminal property damage and second-degree unauthorized entry into a dwelling.
His alleged accomplice, Gloria Kwon, also known as Annie Kwon, was charged with second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree unauthorized entry into a dwelling.
Both are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at Circuit Court. Bail has been set at $50,000 each for Melchor and Kwon.
Police said a man later identified as Melchor and a woman later identified as Kwon led police on a high-speed chase Thursday in a stolen vehicle.
The two allegedly ditched the vehicle, fled on foot, jumped a fence and entered a residence occupied by a couple and their 2-year-old child. The family was able to escape.
