    Hawaii lawmakers applaud Wednesday after Hawaii Gov. David Ige signs legislation in banning a pesticide scientists have found could hinder the development of children’s brains. Ige and state lawmakers say Hawaii is the first state to ban chlorpyrifos.

Synopsis: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency did not ban the use of the pesticide chemical chlorpyrifos on crops. Hawaiʻi is the first state to do so and hopefully, other states will follow. Read more
