Higashi spotted the Pearl Harbor Memorial Highway Interstate Colorado 70 sign at a rest stop in Glenwood Canyon, a beautiful drive along the Colorado River, while on a road trip to Las Vegas. Now residing in Arvada, Colo., Higashi and her husband are originally from Kona and Paauhau, Hawaii, respectively.
