Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 31-year-old man, a reported gang member and fugitive from California, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting last week in Kailua.
Honolulu CrimeStoppers coordinator Chris Kim said Francisco Casillas has been identified as a person of interest in the June 11 shooting, which left a 39-year-0ld man in serious condition.
Police said the shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. as two men argued about a woman at a Keolu Drive home in Enchanted Lake.
Kayaker found dead off Kaneohe is identified
A 69-year-old kayaker who died after he was found floating unresponsive in the ocean off of Kaneohe has been identified as Wesley Chang.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said Chang, of Kaneohe, had drowned.
Pedestrian in fatal Wahiawa crash ID’d
A 47-year-old woman who died after she was struck by a pickup truck in Wahiawa while she was crossing the H-2 freeway has been identified as Cherie F. Castillo.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said Castillo, of Wahiawa, died of blunt force injuries to the head and neck in the collision, which occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. Friday.
