The camp, which is part of Wine & Design’s Art Buzz Kids camps, allows participants to use the skills they have learned in school — reading, language arts, math and more — in a fun, engaging way that sparks creativity and confidence, said studio owner Lesley White.

“Wizard Academy Kids Camp opens up a space for kids’ imaginations to run wild in the wide world of wizarding, and equips and encourages them to bring their imaginings to life,” she said.
Every day, campers will create their own 16-inch-by-20-inch canvas painting, plus enjoy additional crafts and games. Also this summer, each class will cover a different art medium, including clay and origami, White said.
No previous art experience is necessary; campers are encouraged to express their creativity to make every project their own. Parents should pack a nut-free lunch and water bottle for their children, and dress them in paint-friendly clothes.
