Honolulu police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a Pearl City residence and assaulted a man who was dating his ex-girlfriend.
Police said the suspect pushed in a window air-conditioning unit, reached in and punched the victim at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspect fled, but the victim and the assailant’s ex located him a few hours later in the Pearl City area.
Police arrested him at about 3:45 a.m. today on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
Suspect flees after confrontation with victim
Honolulu police are investigating a robbery near an automated teller machine in Makiki.
Police said a man had withdrawn cash from the ATM at about 4:15 a.m. Thursday when a male suspect approached him with a dangerous instrument and demanded money.
Police said the victim refused to comply, and the confrontation continued until the victim fled on foot to a nearby gas station.
An off-duty police officer intervened, and the suspect fled on a moped.
There are no arrests at this time.
