Ewa woman faces extradition
A 22-year-old Ewa Beach woman was to appear in state court today for her extradition to Virginia to face a murder charge.
A grand jury in Virginia returned an indictment in June charging Shanon Tracett Hodges with second-degree murder, using a firearm to commit the murder, discharging a firearm in an occupied building and kidnapping.
The charges stem from the May 2017 shooting death of Hodges’ 19-year-old husband, Denzel Marquise LaBiche. At the time of the shooting, Hodges and LaBiche were Army privates stationed at Fort Eustis in Newport News.
Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Hodges on June 20. Her extradition hearing was twice rescheduled because she had recently given birth.
