Thirty-five firefighters responded Monday night to reports of a 40- to 50-foot boat on fire in the Ala Wai Boat Harbor.
The first alarm was at 8:28 p.m., and the first unit arrived on the scene at 8:35 p.m., Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Scot Seguirant said.
The nine units on the scene “are trying to get better water pressure,” he said. “That’s the challenge.”
No information was available at press time on whether anyone was on board.

Woman to return to Virginia to face charges
A 22-year-old Ewa Beach woman has agreed to return to Virginia to face murder and other charges in connection with the shooting death of her Army soldier husband.
Shanon Hodges, a 2013 Kapolei High School graduate, waived her right in state court Monday to challenge her extradition.
A Newport News grand jury returned an indictment against Hodges in June for the May 29, 2017, death of 19-year-old Denzel Marquise LaBiche. Hodges and LaBiche were soldiers assigned to Fort Eustis. LaBiche was shot in the chest in the couple’s home.
By the time the grand jury returned the indictment, Hodges was back in Hawaii. The indictment charges her with murder, kidnapping and two firearm offenses.
Honolulu police and U.S. Marshals deputies arrested Hodges on June 20.
She has been in custody at Oahu Community Correctional Center since then with no opportunity for release on bail. Her extradition hearing was postponed twice because she had recently given birth. She expects to get the OK to travel later this week from her doctor.
