Colorado State head football coach Mike Bobo tweeted Wednesday that he is “hopeful” of returning in time to prepare the Rams for their season opener against Hawaii.
There was no word on whether he will be on the sidelines or in a coaches booth for the Aug. 25 game in Fort Collins, Colo.
Bobo was hospitalized over the weekend after losing feeling in his feet.
In his tweet, Bobo said: “I am currently in the process of multiple-day treatment for peripheral neuropathy and continue to be encouraged by the results of the on-going medical testing.”
Bobo added, “While I have been hospitalized I have been able to remain in close contact with our staff and watch practice film in preparation for our season opener against Hawaii.”
Bobo expressed his “sincere appreciation for the outpouring of care, concern and prayers that I and my family have received. Lainie and I and our children are extremely grateful for this support and for the great medical care that I continue to receive.”
Bobo said, “I am hopeful I will soon be back with (the team) working to prepare for our season opener!”
