Two different neighbor island Coldwell Banker real estate franchises soon will be under the same ownership.
Coldwell Banker Island Properties, based on Maui, announced it is acquiring Coldwell Banker Maryl Realty on Hawaii island in a transaction scheduled to close Saturday.
With the expansion, Coldwell Banker Island Properties said it also will extend its short-term property management affiliate Coldwell Banker Island Vacations from Maui to Hawaii island.
The Maui company has seven offices and more than 230 agents who brokered $560 million worth of home sales last year.
Coldwell Banker Maryl is based in Kailua-Kona with about two dozen agents and is owned by real estate development and construction firm The Maryl Group.

Accuity LLP has promoted Eric Tsukamoto to audit manager from supervisor. Prior to that he was a senior associate for Accuity. In his new position as audit manager, Tsukamoto’s responsibilities include providing auditing and accounting services to numerous clients, specializing mainly in the insurance industry, as well as taking care of staff development and implementing business initiatives.
Hunt Cos. Hawaii has announced that Alexandra “Alex” Dosen is the new assistant asset manager for the company’s Development Division. Prior to joining Hunt, Dosen worked at Ernst & Young, Southwest Airlines and Fifth Third Bancorp.
