Radford earned its first win on the field since the 2015 Division II state final with a 19-0 home victory over Kailua on Friday night.
Danneh Alpha rushed for two touchdowns and Taias Savea added an 11-yard TD run for the Rams (1-3, 1-1 OIA Division I), who had lost 19 consecutive games played.
Radford did earn a win over Kaiser last season, but it was by forfeit.
It’s the first victory for Radford since moving up to Division I at the start of the 2016 season after it won the D-II state title.
Radford held Kailua (0-4, 0-2) to 109 total yards of offense. Alpha and Aaron Escoto were in on five of the Rams’ six sacks on defense.
The victory was Radford’s first over Kailua since 1981, when Ken Niumatalolo was quarterback for the Rams. Niumatalolo is in town as head coach of Navy, which plays the University of Hawaii tonight at Aloha Stadium.
