>> 1-inch sponge brush
>> Scissors
>> Optional: Battery-operated tea light or candle
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut 1-inch petal shapes from yellow tissue paper.
2. Remove jar lid. Coat one side of the outside of the jar with decoupage sealer.
3. Stick on and layer the petals on the jar to make a sunflower. Leave an opening in the middle for the center of the sunflower. Add layers of petals until you are happy.
4. Cut a circle from the brown paper large enough to cover the center points of the sunflower petals. Stick the circle on the jar with the decoupage sealer.
5. Cut out leave shapes from the green and light green tissue paper.
6. Brush on more decoupage sealer as needed to stick leaves by the flower. You can overlap tissue paper pieces for a layered effect.
7. When you have finished adding flowers and leaves, coat the entire jar with clear varnish and let it dry. Screw on the jar lid. The jar can be used as a vase or a decorative storage container. Or, add a battery-operated tea light or candle to make it glow.
