After years of observing empty shelves in stores during an emergency, I just assumed it was just something that was meant to be. But now I read that much of the shortage was caused by hoarders, who then return items after the emergency has passed.

This is totally unacceptable. I did not realize that so many low-class, inconsiderate, selfish people lived in the Aloha State. So now stores are restricting returns — as it should be.

During an emergency, all emergency items for sale should be displayed together with a huge sign stating, “NO RETURNS.” That should put a dent into this activity, which should be unlawful.
