Algae-eating sea urchins help keep Kaneohe Bay reef clean

    Native sea urchins prove effective in a large-scale study on managing invasive algae.

    A recently published study has found that the manual removal of the algae, combined with the outplanting of these native sea urchins, was a more effective way to keep them off the reef for good.
