Ronald Acuña, Christian Yelich, Yadier Molina and Chris Taylor are expected to be on the Major League Baseball All-Star Team taking part in open workouts and a clinic here in November.

MLB and AIO Hawaii have scheduled a Thursday press conference to announce details and ticket prices of the MLB All-Star team’s Nov. 3 and 4 stopover at Les Murakami Stadium on the way to Japan for the 2018 Japan All-Star Series.

Don Mattingly has been named the team’s manager for the seven-game series in Japan with games against the Yomiuri Giants in Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagoya.

MLB has said Molina of the Cardinals, Eugenio Suárez of the Reds, Yelich of the Brewers, Acuña of the Braves, Rhys Hoskins and Carlos Santana of the Phillies, Whit Merrifield of the Royals and Taylor of the Dodgers have been named to the roster, with more additions to be announced soon.

The All-Star games will be the 37th time MLB players have toured Japan for exhibition games since 1908.

AIO founder Duane Kurisu, a part owner of the San Francisco Giants and Honolulu Star-Advertiser; Jim Small, MLB vice president for Asia Pacific; and Keith Amemiya, senior vice president of Island Holdings, are scheduled to appear at Thursday’s press conference.
