Competition among fitness clubs in Hawaii is about to get more sweaty with the planned entry of another gym franchise.
F45 Training is slated to open its first fitness studio Saturday in Kahala.
Franchise operators Rowland Chaulk and Shane Davies announced that they plan to open as many as 10 F45 studios in the state with a second location at Pearlridge Center.
The Australia-based franchise features “functional” 45-minute group workouts with less equipment than traditional gyms.
F45 was co-founded in 2011 by Rob Deutsch, a former equities trader, and has been expanding rapidly over the last four years with about 1,300 franchises sold in 36 countries, the company said.
