The state Office of Hawaiian Affairs has named a new chief operating officer, longtime Kamehameha Schools administrator Sylvia Hussey.
As COO, Hussey will help oversee day-to-day operations of the agency led by CEO Kamana‘opono Crabbe.
Hussey will start Nov. 19 and replace Lisa Victor, who joined OHA in 2015 after working at Kaiser Permanente in information technology, strategic planning and business development roles.
Hussey was most recently executive director of the Native Hawaiian Education Council and spent more than a decade at Kamehameha Schools as vice president of administration.

Honolulu Cookie Company has appointed and promoted the following individuals:
>> Lisa Bankston has been appointed as eCommerce manager, where she is responsible for the online revenue-generating website and customer service division for Honolulu Cookie Company. Bankston previously worked for international brick-and-mortar and online companies, including IBM, J.C. Penney, Amazon, Men’s Wearhouse as well as Aqua Aston Hospitality.
>> Toma Provenza has been promoted to Honolulu Cookie Company’s senior financial planning analyst, in which she will be responsible for the price analysis for the company’s undertakings. Provenza previously worked at Amazon, Hawaiian Telcom as well as the Vitamin Shoppe.
