South Korean-American actress Yunjin Kim is back on the Korean small screen after 19 years. Kim plays the title role Ms. Ma in the SBS drama that starts at 6:45 tonight. This is the first lead role in a Korean drama for Kim, best known for her role on ABC’s “Lost,” playing Sun-hwa Kwon for six seasons filmed in Hawaii.
Kim, 43, is one of the few South Korean actresses to have successfully crossed over into American film and TV. Perfectly bilingual and a veteran in the industry, she has made many successful films in South Korea, such as “Shiri” and my favorite, the award-winning “Ode to My Father.”
