Hawaii State Federal Credit Union’s earnings more than doubled in the third quarter amid its 20th straight quarter of loan growth.
The state’s second-largest credit union said Monday that its net income rose to $2.4 million from $1.1 million in the year-earlier period.
Loans rose 12.8 percent to $936.1 million from $829.9 million a year earlier. Assets rose 3.8 percent to $1.58 billion from $1.52 billion. Membership increased by 6,229, or 6.3 percent, to 105,342 from 99,113 in the previous year.
Hawaii State FCU serves state, city and county employees as well as nonprofits and select businesses and their families across the state.

Finance Factors has promoted Eric Hodnefield to executive vice president of residential loans and Benson Choo to executive vice president and chief information officer. Hodnefield’s 25 years of experience with the company include senior vice president and residential sales manager, vice president and regional manager, and branch manager. Choo’s 15 years of experience with the company include senior vice president of information systems and technology, assistant vice president and vice president of information protection.
RevoluSun has hired Jamielee Garrison as scheduler, joining the company with three years’ experience in customer service.
