The Chaminade women’s volleyball team wrapped up a Northern California road trip with a 25-17, 25-16, 25-15 win over Fresno Pacific in Fresno, Calif., on Saturday.
The win is the 20th of the season for Chaminade (20-4, 14-4 PacWest), marking just the second time in program history that a team has reached that plateau. It is also the 99th career victory for coach Kahala Kabalis Hoke.
Alana Handy led the Silverswords with 13 kills, while Brooke Bell added 10. Chaminade also shut down the Sunbirds (5-21, 4-13 PacWest) offensively, holding them to a -.020 attack percentage.

HPU breezes past Academy of Art
The Hawaii Pacific men’s soccer team tallied four second-half goals, cruising to a 4-0 win over Academy of Art on Saturday in San Francisco.
Tom Karshuening had two goals, while Jair Espinoza and Kyle Rivers each had one for the Sharks (6-8, 4-5 PacWest). The loss drops the Urban Knights to 2-12-1, 1-7-1 in conference play.

Tasman Turner scored his first career goal with less that four minutes left to go, giving the Silverswords (4-5-2, 3-4-2 PacWest) the lead. Noel Rosales had the lone goal for Holy Names (4-11-1, 3-6).
HPU, Academy of Art women battle to draw
The Hawaii Pacific women’s soccer team relinquished a goal in the 87th minute of the game, and settled for a 1-1 draw with Academy of Art on Saturday in San Francisco.
The Sharks (5-5-6, 3-2-4 PacWest) took the lead early on a goal by Brittny Ihara in the 19th minute and held the lead all the way till the end, when Avica Robings scored for the Urban Knights (7-7-2, 1-6-2) to tie the game.
