Police arrested four people after they allegedly robbed a Japanese visitor in the Ala Moana area.
Police said the suspects — three men ages 19, 32 and 48 and a 23-year-old woman — used force in a purse snatching involving a 25-year-old female victim at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police located the perpetrators in Waikiki and arrested them on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
Suspected Walmart voyeur is registered sex offender
Police charged a 34-year-old man after he allegedly took photos up a woman’s skirt at the Mililani Walmart.
Matthew Katakura was arrested and charged Friday with second-degree violation of privacy, a misdemeanor. He was released after posting $2,000 bail and has a court appearance scheduled for late next month.
Police arrested Katakura in Mililani on Friday afternoon after CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police released surveillance images of a male Wednesday when they sought the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Katakura does not have a criminal record in Hawaii, but he is registered as a sex offender in Texas, where the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry describes him as a “moderate risk.”
