While kids catch wild Pokemon, parents can catch a break — and get some serious Black Friday shopping done. Kids Day Out: Pokemon Trainer’s Day Camp is Nov. 23 at Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center.
The one-day camp, which includes games, crafts and lunch, is a drop-off program for children and makes it possible for parents to have a day out, too.
“Kids Day Out gives children an opportunity to play, create, make new friends and have a lot of fun,” said camp coordinator Kyra Mirikidani. “It also gives parents a day to start preparing for the busy holiday season.”
During the camp, young Pokemon trainers will get to use their creativity and ingenuity to build their own Poke Ball launchers and make their own imaginative Pokemon, Mirikidani said.
“They will hone their Pokemon-catching skills by skipping, jumping and crawling through a trainer’s obstacle course,” she said. “All of their hard work will pay off with a Pokemon hunt in one of the galleries and a delicious ‘Poke Ball pizza’ that they will get to make and then enjoy.”
