Aloha Federal Credit Union is offering special loan assistance to federal workers directly affected by the government shutdown.
The loans require no repayment for three months and deferred interest.
Affected members also may be eligible to defer payments for home mortgages, home equity lines of credit, personal loans, auto loans or credit card balances.
In addition, the credit union will waive early-withdrawal fees for affected members who have share certificates.

ON THE MOVE
Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum has announced that Kaiwi Yoon is its new vice president for planning, operations and project management. He previously was an architecture branch chief for the state Department of Land and Natural Resources’ State Historic Preservation Division. Prior to that Yoon served as land and property manager for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
The Queen’s Health Systems has announced the following:
>> Kristi Lefforge is the newest member on the board of trustees of The Queen’s Health Systems. She also started serving on The Queen’s Medical Center board of trustees as of Jan. 1. Lefforge is executive vice president and chief audit executive of Bank of Hawaii.
>> Ernest H. Fukeda Jr. has retired from The Queen’s Health Systems board. Fukeda is a Pyramid Insurance Centre president.
