    Owen O’Callaghan of Hawaiian Happy cakes is trying to register a trademark for Kaholo Coffee despite opposition from Kahlua coffee liqueur.

The Swedish company Absolut, which makes the coffee liqueur Kahlua, is blocking a Big Island businessman from using the name Kaholo for his coffee. It claims that “Kaholo” is too similar to “Kahlua” and constitutes a trade-name infringement. Read more
