Local real estate brokerage Hawaii Life has folded another competitor into its firm.
The company founded on Kauai in 2008 said it has acquired East Oahu Realty. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The deal follows the death of East Oahu Realty founder and owner Jack Leslein in December.
Leslein started his firm in 1992 using proceeds from the sale of his home, and grew the company to more than 70 agents, brokers and support staff, Hawaii Life said.
Cherie Tsukamoto, principal broker at East Oahu Realty, will continue to lead the office now known as Hawaii Life East Oahu at Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
Hawaii Life last year called itself the state’s third-largest residential real estate brokerage firm after growth partly through acquisitions that have included Island Oasis Realty on Maui last year and Hawaii Realty Professionals on Oahu in 2016.
