Wildfire scorches 500 acres in Nanakuli and Waianae

Firefighters from the Honolulu Fire Department and the Federal Fire Department continue to battle what is described as a "large wildfire" in Nanakuli in the area mauka of Mokiawe, Helelua and Nanikeola streets on March 10. Despite their efforts, flames reportedly came within 100 feet of residential structures this morning.
