Come one, come all — as they say — to a modern one-ring circus packed with thrilling human acts, comedy, music, keiki activities and more. The Super American Circus is back in town with six shows March 29-31 at Blaisdell Arena.
“The Super American Circus showcases some of the best acts in the world that will be performing in Hawaii for the first time,” said circus presenter Cornell “Tuffy” Nicholas.
The show, which has a superhero theme, includes the Lacasse Duo performing “Human Flags,” Elaine Alcon doing aerial ballet and Tino Ferreira attempting a balancing act on stacks of cylinders.
“The Martin Espana Show featuring ‘The Cyclone’ — motorcycle stunts and somersaults on an elevated circular platform — is absolutely amazing,” Nicholas noted. “And we will be bringing Jordan Segundo back to Hawaii from California to be the special guest vocalist.” Segundo will perform songs from “The Greatest Showman.”
Preshow and intermission activities include photos with superhero characters and face painting. There will also be traditional treats, such as cotton candy and popcorn. Nonprofit organization Kama‘aina Kids will benefit from every ticket sold.
