Enjoy a fun, full “pineapple experience” at Family Fun Day April 6 at Dole Plantation, with its Pineapple Garden Maze, Plantation Garden Tour, Pineapple Express Train Tour and, of course, the famous Dole Whip treat.
The annual event is the one day of the year when the maze and garden tour are offered at buy-one-get-one-free admission, and the train tour is offered at a reduced price, said Mike Moon, director of operations at Dole Plantation.
“Highlights of this year’s Family Fun Day include low-cost keiki games, local-style food and arts-and-craft activities that Wahiawa-area schools use as fundraisers for their groups or clubs,” Moon said.
The yummy offerings, all for a nominal fee, include poke bowls, waffle dogs, ethnic plate lunches and homemade baked goods. There will also be prize giveaways throughout the day.
“We always feature entertainment from this area,” Moon added. Among the performances: Wahiawa Hula Studio II at 10 a.m., Iliahi Elementary School Ukulele Club at 11 a.m. and Leilehua High School Brown Bags to Stardom winner Arlyn-Jane Omes at 1:30 p.m.
