University of Hawaii senior Metin Aydin just missed qualifying for the final of the 200-yard individual medley, finishing 18th in 1:43.32 on Thursday at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at Austin, Texas.

The top 16 qualified for the final.

Junior teammate Kane Follows finished the 200 IM in 1:46.49.

The UH 400 medley relay team finished 23rd in 3:07.75.
