Do your ball-handling skills need a refresher course? Is it time for a tune-up for your jump shot?
The Rainbow Warrior Basketball Camps provide those services and more at the University of Hawaii on these dates:
>> Camp 1: June 3-6 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
>> Camp 2: June 24-27 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
>> Camp 3: July 31-Aug. 2 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
>> Shooting clinic: June 7 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
The camp is open to participants ages 6-18 who are entering the 12th grade or lower this fall. There are levels from beginners through experienced players.
Each camper receives a T-shirt, a camp photograph and individual evaluation.
Campers will need to provide their own basketball shoes, athletic clothing, lunch and water bottle.
The fee is $275 for Camps 1 and 2, $200 for Camp 3, and $75 for the shooting clinic. It will be $325 for the Camp 1 and shooting clinic combo, and $750 for all three camps and the clinic.

Heen an NFCA West Region first-teamer
Hawaii junior first baseman/catcher Callee Heen was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-West Region first team on Thursday.
Heen, who led the Big West with 15 home runs and 31 walks this season, is the first Rainbow Wahine to earn first-team honors since Kaia Parnaby and Kelly Majam in 2013.
Hawaii senior pitcher Brittany Hitchcock and senior third baseman Nicole Lopez were voted to the second team.
Hitchcock went 20-8 with a 1.76 ERA, while Lopez led the Big West with 45 runs scored.
Van Tilburg earns academic honors
Former Hawaii men’s volleyball player Stijn van Tilburg was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 8 Men’s At-Large first team on Thursday.
The Amsterdam, Netherlands, native completed his eligibility earlier this month as the Rainbow Warriors fell to Long Beach State in the national final.
Van Tilburg was voted to his third AVCA All-America first team. He ranked No. 2 nationally in hitting percentage (.457) and finished second on the team in kills per set (3.82).
Maglio makes Canadian indoor team
Former Hawaii women’s indoor and beach volleyball player Emily Maglio was one of 18 players selected to the Canadian indoor national team.
Maglio, who is from Coquitlam, British Columbia, earned AVCA All-America honorable mention honors in beach volleyball this season.
In 2018, Maglio became the first UH player to earn indoor and beach All-America honors in the same school year.
3 from Hawaii lose in surfing final
Hawaii’s Kalani David, Eli Hanneman and Mason Ho fell to Australia’s Jack Freestone in the final of the Red Bull Airborne Bali today in Keramas, Bali, Indonesia.
The World Surf League specialty event focuses on aerial surfing.
Hawaii’s Matt Meola and Finn McGill didn’t qualify for the six-man final.
