Sale of seedy Kuhio corner could finish transformation

    The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation is selling its property at the corner of Kuhio and Seaside Avenues, where a fatal shooting took place in 2017. The fee-simple property is listed for $19.5 million.

    A derelict Waikiki property, owned by the Weinberg Foundation, could finally be redeveloped. It’s zoned apartment mixed-use and has a 280-foot height limit.

A derelict plot of land along Kuhio Avenue has been put on the market, likely bringing an upgrade to a critical portion of Waikiki’s expanding tourism center. Read more
