ILH track and field championships were held at Kamehameha Schools field. Tanner Moku jumps over the last hurdle and runs to victory to win the 110 meter hurdles in 14.69 seconds. Alexander Thompson (Punahou) finishes second. They both break the meet record.

Kamehameha’s Tanner Moku was announced as the 2018-19 Gatorade Hawaii boys track & field athlete of the year on Monday.
The 6-foot-2 junior became the fifth athlete from Kamehameha to earn the award. Moku set a state meet record of 38.07 seconds in the preliminaries of the 300-meter hurdles and won the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.54.
Moku also maintained a 3.13 grade-point average and volunteered locally with Special Olympics and youth track programs.
He is now eligible for the Gatorade national boys track & field athlete of the year award announced later this month.
