Hawaiian Electric Co. is moving some of its offices into Ali‘i Place in Honolulu.
The utility signed a lease with San Francisco-based real estate and development firm Bristol Group Inc. to become a tenant at Ali‘i Place beginning in January. HECO will be the largest tenant at the tower at 1099 Alakea St.
HECO will take possession of its 194,624-square foot leased space in phases beginning in January as it begins consolidating some of its offices. Ali‘i Place has 24 stories occupying about 340,000 square feet. Colliers International facilitated this transaction, which it says it believes to be the largest lease completed in the Central Business District.
