Hawaii island police have arrested and charged two individuals at the same residence for different incidents.
Police located and arrested Jaggar Dunne-Torres, 21, and Tearon Pacheco- Fernandez, 24, at a Volcano residence. Neither has a permanent address.
The incident that led to Dunne-Torres’ charges occurred Nov. 19, when officers stopped a car for a traffic violation. The driver of the car accelerated toward an officer who was trying to make contact. The driver damaged the police car, and another police officer fired his weapon.
Pacheco-Fernandez’s charges are rooted in a similar incident, in which a police officer identified a wanted pickup truck and later discharged his weapon after the driver accelerated in the officer’s direction. The truck struck another car, but the driver of that car was not injured.
Dunne-Torres was charged with both first- and second-degree attempted murder among other charges. His aggregate bail is set at $158,500.
Pacheco-Fernandez is charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of first-degree criminal property damage among other charges. Her aggregate bail is set at $32,000.
