The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii has announced two new staff members:
>> Jason Chung as vice president of military affairs. Chung recently retired after 36 years of Army service. He served in multiple units and completed tours with the Central Intelligence Agency and the director of intelligence.
>> Keala Peters as vice president of education and workforce development and executive director of sector partnerships. Peters previously was director of strategic marketing at The Queen’s Health Systems and vice president of marketing and communications at Hawaii Pacific Health.
Local Ameriprise Financial has promoted Gavin Sumimoto to financial adviser with the practice of Fujishige, Itokazu & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice within Ameriprise. Sumimoto has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in finance.
