Academy of Art defeated the Chaminade men’s basketball team 75-68 on Sunday at Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco.
Tyler Cartaino had a team-high 17 points for the Silverswords, who fell to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the Pacific West Conference.

Chaminade’s Castro gets closer to record
Destiny Castro scored 34 points to lead the Chaminade women’s basketball team to a 75-68 victory over Academy of Art in San Francisco.
It was the first win of the season for the Silverswords, who improved to 1-6 overall and 1-1 in the PacWest.
Castro took a huge step forward in the program’s history books. Her 34 gives her 1,248 career points, just 19 away from breaking the program’s all-time record held by Lilia Maio.
Brianna Cates had 17 points for the Urban Knights (2-2, 0-2).
