Town restaurant to close its doors permanently

Town restaurant in Kaimuki is closing permanently this month.

Ed Kenney, who opened Town 16 years ago, said in an Instagram video that he will be closing the restaurant after dinner service Nov. 21.

Kenney is not closing his other Kaimuki restaurants: Mud Hen Water and Kaimuki Superette.

“This is not the end. This is merely a page in the book,” Kenney said.

Kenney was a finalist for best restaurateur in the 2019 James Beard Foundation awards.
