American Savings Bank has been named to American Banker’s Best Banks to Work For, for the sixth time. The state’s third-largest bank is the only Hawaii bank on this year’s list of 85 institutions.

The Best Banks to Work For program identifies, recognizes and honors banks for outstanding employee satisfaction and is determined by a two-step process. The first step involves an evaluation of participating companies’ workplace policies, practices and demographics. In the second step, employee surveys are conducted to directly assess the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. The combined scores determine the top banks and the final ranking.

American Savings also earned accolades in October from the Public Relations Society of America Hawaii Chapter (PRSA Hawaii). The bank received four awards at the PRSA Hawaii’s 2020 Koa Anvil Awards for its public relations work for the grand opening of the ASB Campus, in partnership with Becker Communications.
