COOKIES FOR A CAUSE
The nonprofit Touch a Heart has packaged its Baker’s Heart specialty cookies, biscotti, coffee and more for holiday giving that serves a good cause.
Sales of the festive boxes benefit Touch a Heart’s vocational training and job placement efforts for people who have struggled to find steady employment. This is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Baker’s Heart Holiday Gift Giving Catalog offers six box sets, from $8 to $55. A medium-sized sampler is $27 (containing a 7-ounce coffee blend, 10 chocolate-almond biscotti bites, and five oatmeal-flax-quinoa cookies.)
Baker’s Heart, a subsidiary of Touch a Heart, has created a special line of the oatmeal cookies in espresso-white chocolate chip, cranberry- chocolate chip, coconut- macadamia nut and sea salt-chocolate caramel- coffee. An ulu-poi pancake mix sells for $9 and $12.
Orders will be taken through Dec. 4, with pickup from then until Dec. 16 at Kalihi Union Church, 2214 N. King St. Delivery may be arranged for larger orders; shipping to the mainland is available.

RUM AND COFFEE A PERFECT MATCH
Since 2015, you could get coffee- flavored rum, courtesy of Kauai Coffee Company and Koloa Rum. Now they’re teaming up again to offer rum-flavored coffee.
Kauai Coffee Company’s Seed to Cup project, which experiments with various flavors and processing in small batches, has produced Rum Barrel Aged Kauai Coffee, with Kaua‘i Yellow Catuai Coffee aged in Koloa Rum barrels. (There is no alcohol in the final product.)
A 10-ounce bag is $40, available online only — at 808ne.ws/rumcoffee — for a limited time.
