On the Move: Leigh Anne Mayberry and Vasana Chiu

>> Blue Planet Foundation has announced the hiring of Leigh Anne Mayberry as communications director. Mayberry brings over a decade of experience in media, marketing and public relations, including time as a promotions producer at KHON2 News and executive producer of the local television show “Modern Wahine Hawaii.” Blue Planet Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to solving climate change and clearing the path for 100% clean energy.

>> Carlsmith Ball has announced the hiring of Vasana Chiu, CPA, as an associate in the firm’s Tax and Estate Planning practice group in Honolulu. Chiu received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. Prior to enrolling in law school, she worked as a tax accountant in New York at companies like PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. Most recently, she was assistant controller for The Resort Group and was a tax manager in private equity for Fortress Invest Group.
