Bird of Paradise
Prior to the pandemic, Bird of Paradise at Prince Waikiki Golf Club in Ewa Beach was known for its brunch and buffets. While the restaurant’s menu is currently streamlined, it still features delectable dishes that are centered around local clientele.
The teriyaki pork sandwich — which includes 6 ounces of marinated pork with lettuce, tomatoes and onions — is one of the bestsellers and is described as ultimate comfort food.
The Prince Pupu Platter, meanwhile, is a definitive crowd favorite because it comes with a little bit of everything — teriyaki pork, shrimp siu mai, calamari karaage, chicken wings and two musubis.
You also won’t want to miss the Hurricane Tots that are loaded with Sriracha mayonnaise, kabayaki sauce, furikake, kakimochi and green onions. This is a newer menu item that did so well at the golf course that its Waikiki hotel location now serves it on the a la carte menu at the resort’s Hinana Bar.
In the upcoming months, diners can look forward to an expanded menu, but it will still include numerous local favorites.
Happy hour is available Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features discounts on domestic and premium beers, along with pitchers.
